Our story

A calling carried forward.

Greater Abiding Peace began in the Goodyear home of Pastor Leroy and Lady Juanelda Grogen, answering God’s call to continue a family legacy of ministry.

The church honors the work started by Lady Grogen’s father, Pastor Lorenzo Littlejohn of Abiding Peace Church of God in Christ in Hemet, California. Through moves across the West Valley, the heart of the ministry has stayed the same: reach people, feed the hungry, care for neighbors, and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The next chapter for Greater Abiding Peace is deeply practical: preparing meals for elderly neighbors in the Sun City area and creating a place where care is felt, not merely talked about.
